Midget Minors Sweep To Victory!
Congratulations to the 16U "A" team who won their respective division in the Summer Festival Tournament in Oaks, Pa on Sunday, August 29, 2010.
The team won all four of its games played, defeating the Bayonne Rangers, for the second time in two days, by a 5 - 2 score to secure the Championship.
Playing solid defensive two way hockey, along with some stellar goaltending by both goalies, the Renegades limited their opponents to five goals against for the entire tournament.
The team also added another notch to their already impressive opening of the new season (4 Wins - 0 Losses), by winning the team skating skills competition. They will undoubtedly make their mark in the league this season.
A special "thank you" goes out to the individual "B" team players who attended the tournament in support of the "A" team. They should be applauded as they did much more than just be there for moral support. These guys proved shift after shift that they have the hustle, desire and game to perform and not just be a number. Guys, your character shines brightly!
