TEAMING UP UNDER THE USA HOCKEY LADDER OF DEVELOPMENT

FLEMINGTON, NJ -- The New Jersey Renegades, members of the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) are proud to announce an affiliation with the Connecticut Oilers of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). This affiliation will provide both clubs a working relationship to develop and move players up the USA Hockey Ladder of Development. The Oilers and Renegades have each done a great job over the years to provide an atmosphere for their aspiring players to advance through the EHL and the USA Junior Hockey system.

Cliff [Graziano] and I have a similar mindset about the proper development of players and we will be working together to move kids to the proper levels of junior hockey as well as college, prep school, and the professional ranks,” said Oilers head coach Karl Linden.

Pete Rossi, the Co-Head Coach for the Renegades, went on to share his thoughts on the affiliation.

"The clubs are approximately two and a half hours from each other with some of both teams' players living near the midway point, which will make for an easy transition, specifically for those players
enrolled in school, whether it be high school or local colleges to go to either program in a pinch if they were to be called upon.”

This is the second affiliation for the Renegades as earlier this season they affiliated with the New Hampshire Avalanche.

The Renegades over the past decade of existence have moved players on to the USHLNAHL, prep schools, the professional ranks as well as NCAA Division I, II, and III schools, as well as some ACHA college programs. They pride themselves on training student athletes in a learning environment as well as teaching the players the values of responsibility, accountability for their actions, and discipline to the classroom as well as their athletic training.
