Renegades Alumni Jr player Matt Beattie has signed his first professional contract with Team Etoile Noire de Strasbourg in The Ligue Magnus League, which is the highest professional league in France.  He now signed in Australia.  Matt played 2 seasons with the Rens Jr team winning the Offensive Defenseman of the Year for the the league in his 2nd season with the club. He then went on to star for Exeter Prep in New Hampshire where he led all of the New England Prep Schools in scoring in his post-grad season. Matt then moved on to play NCAA Division I Hockey at Yale University where he won a National Championship in his freshman year. Matt recently just graduated from Yale and has moved to France to play professional hockey. Matt still regularly comes back and helps the current Jr coaching staff of the Renegades as well as providing insight and advice to our current players. We are so proud of Matt and all his accomplishments over the years. Hats off to one of the true good guys… Good luck in Australia Matt!
